Welcome Crafters

This blog is intended to join crafters from all over the world. We would like to provide this as a place to share your crafting ideas, get ideas and perhaps brag a bit.

We invite scrapbookers, card makers, quilters, crocheters and just anything that you consider "crafty" to share with us. We will post them on the website for all to see.

Submissions can be sent to creativecraftersblog@yahoo.com.

We will be having monthly blog candy and challenges.
Look forward to seeing your crafts!

Happy Valentine's Day

These are the Valentine Cards that I made for my daughters to give their grandparents and great grandparents this weekend. They were really fun to make. Everything (except the googly eyes, DMC thread and embossing folder) is from Close To My Heart.

Bridal Shower Invite

Here is one of the invitations I made for my soon to be SIL's bridal shower.

Christmas Countdown

I saw an idea like this on a blog. Again I must remember to write this stuff down! Anywho, It was a countdown to Halloween and I decided to make a Christmas Countdown for my kids. The plan was to use my Bind it All unfortunately the bindings I have here are not big enough. Living in Qatar does not lend itself to running out and getting more crafting stuff so I had to improvise. I went to the stationary store and picked up the little metal keyrings and tied some ribbon on it. It works Ok, doesn't open really easy but sure looks cute closed!

Someone out there should write a book with 1001 ways to use coasters. I love them. Everything else was Close to My Heart Paper and cut with the Cricut.

Chocolate!

I made this milk carton for my girlfriend that just had a baby. It is filled with her favorite chocolates. If you can't read the sign on the back it says, "In the begining the Lord created chocolate, and he saw that it was good. Then he separated the light from the dark, and saw it was better!" I found that saying on the web. So cute!

I probably should have done another version because my seams weren't great. I found the template and wanted it much bigger and it took me forever to figure it out. Anyway, I hope she knows it was made out of love not skill.

I'm Back!

Wow, this blog almost died a slow and painful death. But I've decided to revive it. So here are a few things I've been working on.

My girlfriend just had a baby and this is the baby gift I'm giving her. I made the box out of 1 piece of 12x12 paper. I saw the idea on another blog. I really must write them down if I'm going to lift their ideas. I think it was sweet pea. But anyway, here is my version.

Baby Sling

I made this baby sling for a friend of mine. Retail cost is about $50.00 I made it for less than $10.00. My friends baby is 2 weeks old and she said she has pratically lived in the sling for the last week. I sewed a pocket in the fabric that hangs down in the front. (not included in sewing instructions) I just folded the end up and sewed. She said it was nice to be able to throw her wallet and cell phone in there and be hands free. Here is the web with sewing instructions. http://www.mayawrap.com/n_sewsling.php THis is also a retail site if you just don't want to sew. Let me know if you have any questions.

Father's Day Gift

This is what my twin girls will be giving their Daddy for Father's Day. Shhh... If you know him, don't tell him yet. Ü I am really happy with the way it turned out, and hope that he will love it. I still need to add a button in the center of the flowers, I just don't have any yet. Hope you enjoy!
