Christmas Countdown

I saw an idea like this on a blog. Again I must remember to write this stuff down! Anywho, It was a countdown to Halloween and I decided to make a Christmas Countdown for my kids. The plan was to use my Bind it All unfortunately the bindings I have here are not big enough. Living in Qatar does not lend itself to running out and getting more crafting stuff so I had to improvise. I went to the stationary store and picked up the little metal keyrings and tied some ribbon on it. It works Ok, doesn't open really easy but sure looks cute closed!

Someone out there should write a book with 1001 ways to use coasters. I love them. Everything else was Close to My Heart Paper and cut with the Cricut.

Chocolate!

I made this milk carton for my girlfriend that just had a baby. It is filled with her favorite chocolates. If you can't read the sign on the back it says, "In the begining the Lord created chocolate, and he saw that it was good. Then he separated the light from the dark, and saw it was better!" I found that saying on the web. So cute!

I probably should have done another version because my seams weren't great. I found the template and wanted it much bigger and it took me forever to figure it out. Anyway, I hope she knows it was made out of love not skill.

I'm Back!

Wow, this blog almost died a slow and painful death. But I've decided to revive it. So here are a few things I've been working on.

My girlfriend just had a baby and this is the baby gift I'm giving her. I made the box out of 1 piece of 12x12 paper. I saw the idea on another blog. I really must write them down if I'm going to lift their ideas. I think it was sweet pea. But anyway, here is my version.
